Hi, I’m Jazzmin Williamson!

I’m Peyton’s mom, a children’s book author, and the creator of The Adventures of Peyton. My background includes studies in Small Business Entrepreneurship and Medical Office Administration, but so much of what shaped this series came from real life — motherhood, learning alongside Peyton, showing up for therapies and school meetings, and paying attention to the small everyday moments that make her who she is.

I didn’t want to create stories that only explained autism from a distance. I wanted children to meet a character who feels real: a little girl with favorite shows, funny sayings, sensory comforts, big feelings, new skills, hard days, joyful moments, and a personality that shines through all of it.

That is the heart behind this series. I want autistic children to see pieces of themselves in Peyton, while helping siblings, classmates, teachers, caregivers, and other families understand that communication can look different, sensory needs are real, and differences never make a child less worthy of friendship, patience, opportunity, or joy.

For me, these books are more than stories. They are a way to turn our family’s real experiences into conversations that can make classrooms, homes, playgrounds, and communities a little kinder and more inclusive.
